Barry Len Roberts, 56, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at his home in Marion.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Community Connection Center at First Baptist Church in Carterville, with reflections by his brother, Brad Roberts and good friend, Chris Hottensen. Family and friends can gather from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. It was Barry's wish that everyone come dressed in their favorite sports attire in honor of his love of sports.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.

Barry was born on March 5, 1969, in Marion, to Larry Dean and Linda Sue (Fisher) Roberts.

He is survived by his sons, Chandler (Alison) Roberts and Benjamin (Zoey Finney) Roberts; a granddaughter on the way; his parents, Larry and Linda Roberts; and his brothers, Brian (Lisa) Roberts and Brad (Jennifer) Roberts. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Zeus and Boomer, an aunt, several uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his beloved dog, Walker.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carterville, where he previously served as Youth Pastor.

Barry owned and operated B & B Trash Services for over 30 years, retiring in 2022. He was a true sports enthusiast who especially loved football, baseball, and college basketball. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Reds, and SIU Salukis. He also enjoyed relaxing at home watching television, with cooking shows and "Reba" being among his favorites. Barry was very excited about the upcoming arrival of his first granddaughter.

Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville assisted the family with cremation services.
