Brian Webster Cairns, 67, of DeSoto, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 17, 2025, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Ryan Tackett officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wright-way Animal Rescue.
Brian was born on May 12, 1958, in Libertyville, Illinois, to John Webster and Alice Lee (Rushing) Cairns. He married Deborah Lynn Vaughn on April 19, 1986, in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Cairns; sons, John (Ana) Cairns, Dan Cairns, and Ryan Cairns; grandchildren, Madison, Agnes, Amile, Walter, and Miriam; brother, Ron (Terry) Cairns; sister-in-law, Gladys Cairns; plus several nieces and nephews.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard "Rick" Cairns.
He worked as a landscape designer for 15 years with Greenridge Landscaping and later served as Facility Manager for Pepsi for several years.
Brian was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Carterville.
He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, spending time outdoors, and took great pride in caring for his yard.
