Barry R. Russup

Barry Russup, 76, of Bensalem PA passed away June 9th at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Blakeslee, he was a son of the late John and Beatrice (Keiper) Russup. He worked as a chef for many years in the Pocono Mountains and Bensalem areas. After his retirement he was an aide at the Bucks County Center for the Blind.
Barry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the beach. Barry was an avid, lifelong New York Yankees fan. He also loved animals of all kinds and made sure the stray cats in his neighborhood were always well-fed.
He is survived by his long time companion Brenda George of Bensalem; daughter Lori Lopez and husband David of Allentown, daughter Dawn Russup-Arce and husband Luis of Allentown; son Christopher Russup and wife Lorinda of Bangor, Grandchildren Isabella and Paris Lopez of Allentown and Christian Russup and wife Vicky of Bangor, step children Sonia Ryan and husband Richard and their children Sydney and Lexi of Bensalem, Brent Simpson and wife Danielle of Benton, Tennessee and their children Jonathan and Elizabeth; ex-wife and mother of his children Mary Alice Mariano of Allentown, and his brother John Russup and wife Connie of Bernardsville, NJ, along with extended family.
Services: viewing Saturday, June 15th starting at 12 noon at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John S. Pendzick officiating.
