Barry Shellhammer Obituary

Born at home in New Ringgold, he was the son of the late Edgar and Ada (Sassaman) Shellhammer. He was the beloved husband of the late Karen (Christman) Shellhammer, who passed away in 2006. In recent years, he shared his life with his loving companion, Kathy Rill.
Barry was a caring husband, devoted father and proud grandfather who cherished spending time with his family.
He is survived by his three sons: Christopher, husband of Erica (Sandoe) Shellhammer of Ephrata; Jeremy, husband of Holly Bennett Shellhammer of Germany; and Troy, husband of Steph (Berry) Shellhammer of Ephrata. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren: Alexis, Zachary, Caitlin, Cameron, Grayson, Heather, Courtney, Grant, and Mae.
In addition to his wife and parents, Barry was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Shellhammer, and his sister, Henrietta Beyer.
Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata.

My deepest sympathy to the Shellhammer family. Barry was always a polite gentleman, a nice neighbor and always waved"hello" when he was outside working in his yard. RIP my friend!

What can I say a lot of memories come flooding in. He was a friend and terrific brother in law. I can't comprehend that he's gone. My condolences to Chris, Jeremy and troy.
