Barry Silk Obituary
Barry James Silk, 65, of Monroe GA, passed away at Piedmont Walton Hospital with family present.
Barry was born in Stoneham, MA to Jean (Harrington) & William Silk. After high school, Barry enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he received many awards, medals, and ribbons to include a Meritorious Unit Citation, Navy Achievement Medal, multiple Meritorious Masts & letters of appreciation, and multiple Expert Shooter badges.
Barry is survived by his ex-wife, Donna Silk and their three children and their spouses, Heather Silk, Andrea Goodrich, and her husband, Andrew Goodrich, and Christopher Silk, and his wife, Leah Silk. Barry is also survived by many grandchildren, Cora-Lynn Newman and her husband, Keegan Newman, Caryn Goodrich, Mira Lebro, Andrew Goodrich II, Hailey Silk, and Keagan Silk. Barry is also survived by many friends, nieces, and nephews, and his siblings, Bobbie (Silk) Kilduff, Billy Silk, Bonnie (Silk), and her husband Gary Roberts, and Brian Silk.
Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Jean (Harrington) & William Silk; sister, Barbara Silk; and long term partner, Penny Carithers.
Barry's family would like to thank the friends of Barry's who helped and comforted him.
