Bart was born on November 19, 1961 to James Noble and Cecelia Ann Burns in Big Springs. His mischievous grin won the hearts of many. He grew up in Ackerly and later moved to Brownfield.

Bart worked many jobs before he found his passion in slickline work. He began working for Petro Log in 1987 and met Don Horner, who become a lifelong friend and mentor. Over many years of Don's guidance, his desire to start his own company grew. Bart started Burns Truck Service and after many years of hard work, he was able to purchase his own slickline truck and formed B&P Oilfield Services. It was through this company he met so many of his dear friends. His son, daughter, son-in-law, nephews, sister, brother and even his dad had the great privilege learning, and working along side of him. His family will cherish all of the lessons learned and memories made. Bart was a friend to many and loved his family fiercely. He was a protector and servant to anyone who needed it, his legacy will live on through each of us and memory will be cherished. Bart is preceded in death by his parents James Burns and Cecelia "Annie" Willis and a brother Tony Burns.

Bart is survived by his 2 son, Billy and Barton Burns; daughter, Cindy Valentine and husband Chad; 3 grandsons; a granddaughter; 2 sisters, Cindy Merrill and husband Clay and Mendy Burns; brother, Vincent and wife Faye Burns and 3 aunts, Freda Hales, Mary Donaho and Lynda Perry.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the mother of his children and friend for the grace, compassion and love shown to him and his family in helping care for him.
