Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our wife, mother, and grandma, Donna Kay Bond, who passed away peacefully at age 68.

On August 13, 1957, Ray and Ola Johnson, and her 2 big brothers, Wayne and Jerry, welcomed her into this world along with her twin sister, Ronna Millican. In 1966, the family moved to Brownfield, Texas, where she would finish school and continue life’s journey. Donna was interested in arts and crafts, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors. Her greatest interest in life was her love of family. She loved card games and some board games. At each gathering, it felt like a party for everyone involved. The house was always filled with love, laughter, and warmth.

Donna loved children and, at one point, ran a daycare for infants to toddlers. She was also active in the nursery at Calvary Baptist Church, where her mother and sister were also involved.

Donna married Terry Bond from Lamesa on October 22, 2014. Donna and Terry were active members of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield, Texas.

Donna is preceded in death by her mother, Ola Mae Johnson, and her father, Arlie Ray Johnson, as well as a brother, Robert Allen Johnson. Donna’s legacy will live on through her husband, Terry Bond; her children, Michele Nix of Temple, Texas, and Vernon Jackson of Brownfield, Texas; and her 6 grandkids and 6 great-grandkids.
