Basil Sadler

December 3, 1930 - June 26, 2025

Stoughton – Basil Sadler, age 94, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. He was born December 3, 1930, in Madison to the late Lloyd and Grace (Stelter) Sadler. Basil went to Madison West High School and graduated in 1950 and then was drafted into the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for Ray-O-Vac for 45 and a half years as an Electrical Engineer. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 59 in Stoughton. He researched names of veterans and helped to get the Veteran's Memorial completed in Stoughton. Basil was at the Stoughton Senior Center often and helped others with the computer issues and enjoyed playing pool and woodworking. He looked forward to the EAA AirVenture every year.

Basil is survived by his five children, Mike (Nancy) Sadler, William (Heidi) Sadler, Debra (Richard) Gower, Robert (Lynn) Sadler and Jane (Todd) Klinger; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents and Sally Sadler.

There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
