Basil Ward Obituary
GALION -- Basil H Ward, age 85, of Galion, Ohio passed away Dec. 25, 2022, at Avita Galion Hospital. He was born April 17, 1937, to the late Sam Davis and Annie Rugg Davis in Waterville, Maine. He married Myrna M Keenan August 9, 1980.
Basil is survived by: his wife, children: Jacqueline (Brett) Martyn-Dow of Tucson, AZ, Alicia (Randy) Craig of Marion, NC, Henry (Kim) Ward of Sunbury, OH, Tucker (Ruth) Ward of Jacksonville, FL, and Kathleen Wyskiver of Jacksonville, FL, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and 1 sister Faye (Elmer) Cotton. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 2 sons: Russell Ward and Jeffrey Ward, 1 brother Kermit Davis, and 2 sisters.
Basil worked as a machinist for Marion Power Shovel. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling, and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
Memorial contributions can be made to Grace Baptist Church in Crestline, Ohio.
Affordable Cremation Services of Ohio was honored to make arrangements for the Ward family.
