Baxter Ellifritz Obituary
Baxter was born May 12, 1939, in Vindex, MD. He was the son of the late Charles Ellis Ellifritz and Lona Alta Fay Ellifritz.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie M. Ellifritz, and his second wife Nelda F. Ellifritz, a sister Myra L. Ellifritz, a brother Faye K. Ellifritz, and a daughter-in-law Marie Spurling.
He served in the U.S. Army as a radio operator and was a member of the American Legion Boyce-Houser Post # 41. He was also a member of the Bonnieview Apostolic Ministries in Keyser, WV and was a former member of the Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, MD.
He is survived by daughters Beth Drenner and her husband Kurt, Susan Boxall and her husband Charles, Dena Friend and her husband Jeff, son David Spurling and his wife Karen, grandchildren Keith Shoemaker, Jennifer Shoemaker, Amanda Shoemaker, Cynthia Gordon, John Gordon, Carrie Spurling, numerous great grandchildren, and his wife Teresa Ellifritz.
Funeral services will be held at the Osborne Funeral Home, P.A. 425 S. Conococheague St. Williamsport, MD on Wednesday January 8, 2025 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown, MD. Military Honors will be provided by Clopper-Michael Post #10 American Legion, Boonsboro, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Bonnieview Apostolic Ministries 47 Penny Lane Keyser, WV 26726 OR American Heart Association P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
