Bea Tucker, 96, of Jefferson, died March 21, 2021 at the Greene County Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Jefferson, Iowa. Memorials in honor and remembrance of Bea may be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson.

Beulah Arlene Rasmussen Tucker was born May 23, 1924 in Griswold (Cass County), Iowa. She was the 8th of 9 children born to Hjalmer Peter Rasmussen and Gina Caroline Simonsen. Her father was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and immigrated to the United States, settling in Southwest Iowa, where he met and married Gina.

Bea graduated from Atlantic High School in 1942, and married 2nd Lieutenant Frank Tucker, Jr. at Camp Chafee, Arkansas on August 13, 1943. Following Frank's military World War II service, and graduation from the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in 1949, they returned to their hometown of Atlantic accepting a position with Rex Pharmacy. Frank and Bea purchased Lyon Drug in Jefferson in 1953. Frank owned and operated Tucker Pharmacy for nearly 30 years.

Bea was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and was active in many local and civic organizations. Frank and Bea raised their 3 children in Jefferson.

Bea died on March 21, 2021 at the Greene County Medical Center at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and son, Ted; as well as her parents, and 8 brothers and sisters.

Frank and Bea's survivors include their son, Tom and his wife, Georgia, of Florida; and their daughter, Julie of Arizona. Bea has four grandsons; Tony, Tyler, Tyler James, and Eric; and 2 great grandsons, Miles and Zane.
