Beatrice A. Johnson, 92, of Crystal Lake, passed away Friday evening, January 2, 2026. She was born April 12, 1933, in Cobden, Illinois, to Harvey and Betty (Mungle) Pearson.
In August of 1970, she married Ernie Johnson and together they formed a big, blended family that became the center of her life.
Bea worked as a purchasing agent at Farr Company in Crystal Lake for more than 30 years. She loved going to church, spending time gardening, and being outdoors. Summers were often spent boating and camping in Wisconsin, making memories with family. She was also a devoted Chicago sports fan, cheering on the Bears, Cubs, and Bulls, and proudly made it to at least one game for each team.
Her children and grandchildren were truly her pride and joy. Known for her sweet, warm, and caring nature, Bea was a devoted mom and grandma. She rarely missed a grandchild’s event, whether it was sports, music, or anything in between, because to her, every event mattered.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children, affectionately known as the “Five Devils,” Dennis R. (the late Kathy) Stidham, Donna D. (Mark) Zientek, Debra D.(Richard) Naponelli, Dana S. Joseph, and Darren D. (Terrye) Stidham; along withBarbara J. (Frank) Beasley, Kimberly A.
