Beatriz De La Torre Muñoz, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Beatriz passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Joliet, Illinois. She was 89 years old.
Born on January 30, 1935, in Jalisco, Mexico, Beatriz was the cherished daughter of J. Asuncion De La Torre and Valentina Muñoz. She was united in marriage to Florencio Gonzalez, with whom she shared 51 years of love, devotion, and partnership before his passing. Together, they raised a large, close-knit family that has carried on her values of faith, hard work, and compassion.
Beatriz was preceded in death by her husband Florencio Gonzalez, her children Josefina, Abigail, Maria Guadalupe, Fidel, Amparo, and Raquel Gonzalez, and her parents.
She is survived by her children Arturo (Lourdes) Gonzalez, Juan (Norma) Gonzalez, Arnulfo (Lina) Gonzalez, Rebeca (Jose) Lopez, Maria de la Luz (Enrique) Guzman, and Alfonso (Monica) Gonzalez. Beatriz's legacy of love continues through her 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her warm, nurturing spirit.
A woman of profound faith and strength, Beatriz will be remembered for her loving kindness, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her capacity to bring joy and light to everyone around her. She touched the lives of countless friends, extended family, and neighbors, always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a heart full of love.
The family of Beatriz would like to express their deepest gratitude for the care and support they have received during this time. Beatriz’s memory will forever be cherished, and she will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 404 N. Hickory St, Joliet, IL, burial will take place in Mexico.
Con gran tristeza, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Beatriz De La Torre Muñoz, madre, abuela, bisabuela y tatarabuela muy querida. Beatriz falleció en paz el 11 de Noviembre de 2024, rodeada de su amada familia en Joliet, Illinois, a la edad de 89 años.
Nació el 30 de Enero de 1935 en Jalisco, México, siendo la apreciada hija de J. Asunción De La Torre y Valentina Muñoz. Se unió en matrimonio con Florencio González, con quien compartió 51 años de amor, devoción y compañerismo antes de su fallecimiento. Juntos criaron una familia numerosa y unida, que ha continuado con sus valores de fe, trabajo duro y compasión.
Beatriz fue precedida en la muerte por su esposo Florencio González, sus hijos Josefina, Abigail, María Guadalupe, Fidel, Amparo y Raquel González, así como por sus padres.
Le sobreviven sus hijos: Arturo (Lourdes) González, Juan (Norma) González, Arnulfo (Lina) González, Rebeca (José) López, María de la Luz (Enrique) Guzmán, y Alfonso (Mónica) González. Se llevará a cabo una visita en la Tezak Funeral Home, ubicada en 1211 Plainfield Rd, Joliet, IL, el Domingo 17 de Noviembre de 2024, de 4:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. Los servicios funerarios serán el Lunes 18 de Noviembre de 2024 a las 10:30 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica de San Juan Bautista, ubicada en 404 N. Hickory St, Joliet, IL. La sepultura tendrá lugar en México.
