Beatriz Hernandez, lovingly known as “Bea,” age 70, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away on March 13, 2026. She was born on August 5, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and was a graduate of Miller High School in Corpus Christi.
Bea was a woman whose greatest joy in life was caring for her family. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to the people she loved, always making sure those around her felt united, safe, and deeply loved. Her family meant everything to her, and she lived by the belief that family always comes first.
She had a vibrant personality and will be remembered as loving, sassy, and truly an original O.G. Bea enjoyed watching wrestling and spending time cheering on and supporting her husband as he sponsored basketball. She also took pride in her work, serving as a clerical worker with the Gwinnett County Health Department from 1992 until her retirement in 2015.
Bea was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Modesta Munoz; her father, Gilbert De Los Santos; her mother, Maria Luisa De Los Santos; her husband, Jose Luis Hernandez; her son, Cesar Salazar, Jr.; and her cherished granddaughter, Yasmine Beatriz Salazar.
She is survived by her loving children, Rosalinda Contreras, Gilbert Salazar, and Maria Victoria Hernandez; her sisters, Linda Elizalde and Maryann De Los Santos; as well as 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.
Bea’s strength, humor, and devotion to her family will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
