Beatriz Orozco

Beatriz Orozco (nee Rodriguez), age 92, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with her daughter by her side. She was born to the late Carmen Rosa Caro and Federico Rodriguez on May 5, 1933, in Barranquilla, Colombia. In 1954 she married her soulmate Alberto in Barranquilla, where she lived for many years as a homemaker, wife, and mother. In 1970 she moved with her husband and daughter, Bea, to Bryn Mawr, PA. There, she devoted her life to her family, including her two granddaughters, Jenn and Sandi. In later years, she spent time in both Colombia and the United States before settling down in 2016 with her husband and daughter in AZ.

Beatriz was predeceased by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her doting daughter, Bea Schmidt (Martin Loy) of Peoria, AZ, her beloved granddaughters, Jennifer Powell of Oldsmar, FL, and Sandra Schmidt of Peoria, AZ, and her cherished nieces Aurora and Carmen Rosa.
