Becky Dorsten

Becky Dorsten, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, in Springfield, Ohio, at the age of 86. She was born on March 25, 1939, in Morgan County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Bazzie and Margaret (Roseberry) Cantrell.

She enjoyed shopping for antiques, going to garage sales and flea markets, and took great pleasure in yard work and finding beauty in simple tasks. Her love for discovering treasures in unexpected places reflected the joy she brought to her family and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; five sisters: Elsie, Margie, Tilda, Essie, Betty; two brothers: Thomas and Ova. Becky is survived by two sons, Michael Ferguson and Jim (Liza) Ferguson; four grandchildren: Stevie, Christina, Jessica, and Shellie; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Trimble; as well as extended family and friends. Her family was her joy, and she will be remembered by them for her kindness, generosity and her unconditional love.

The funeral services will be held on February 10, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Belton Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Becky will be laid to rest next to her husband at Dayton National Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice in memory of Becky.
