Becky Runer Obituary
Becky Eva Runer (nee Corning) passed from here to heaven on May 19, 2024, in Santa Fe, NM. Becky was born on March 31, 1927, in Seattle, WA to Kenneth and Eva Corning. Her husband, Don Runer, predeceased her in 2006. She is survived by her daughter Barbara (William), son Gary (Deanna), grandchildren Kenneth Merhege (Brandi), Monica Merhege, Gordon Runer (Amber), Christopher Runer, Clayton Runer and her great-grandchildren Opal, Landen, Jaxon, Adlee, and Cerra.
Santa Fe became home to Becky in her early 20's. She volunteered with the PTA, worked in political campaigns, and served over 30 years as a "pink lady" for St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary. She spent many hours with family at the rodeo, county fair, and events for Operation Christmas Child. She loved children. Becky was a loving, kind, generous, fun-loving person with a beautiful spirit. She will be greatly missed by many people.
Services will be June 29, 2024 at 10:00 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with a reception from 12-3 at Adelita's. In lieu of flowers please donate to Operation Christmas Child or St. Vincent Foundation (volunteers).

Barbara, Gary and entire family, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She will always be remembered as a gracious, kind, giving woman with a beautiful smile. My mom enjoyed working with her thru politics and always looked for her when ever at the hospital. She was so kind and inviting to all your friends when we hung out at your house. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Barbara, Gary and the entire family. It was with such sadness that I read of your Mom's passing, and yet filled with joyful memories at the same time. Dear Barbara. My deepest condolences at the loss of your precious mother. When we were in high school, I remember how she always opened her home to us D. Debs and greeted with a smile and a hug, plus, lots of snacks. All who entered were welcomed and were treated with such a loving kindness. Dear Barbara, Bill, Gary, Deanna and all the family, Our sincere condolences. We loved Becky dearly and always enjoyed our times spent with her. She was so loving. It broke our hearts to hear that she was sick the last several weeks. But now, safely home with Jesus, she is rejoicing and has no more pain! She is bound to be on the welcoming committee when we get to heaven. Peace and comfort on all of you.
