Becky J. Taylor

Becky J. Taylor, age 73, of Sidney, NE passed away in Sidney on Thursday, May 25, 2023 after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Faith Methodist Church in Sidney, NE with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Services will be livestreamed on the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel Facebook page and recorded for later viewing on our website. Burial will be at the Peetz Cemetery in Peetz, CO. Memorials may be made in care of the family for a later designation.
Friends may stop at the Gehrig-Stitt Chapel on Monday, June 12 from 1-6:00 P.M. and leave condolences for the family. Family will be present 4-6:00 P.M. The casket will be closed per Becky's wishes. Becky was born September 7, 1949 to Henry "Hank" Nichols and Gaynell (Krapff) Nichols in Dodge City, KS. She grew up and attended school in Peetz, CO, graduating in 1967. After high school she eventually moved to Sidney, NE where she was married to Jim Henzl from 1973-1992. Born from this union were Misti, Shad and Brooke.
Becky was an avid reader, known to read a book in just a day or two and loved crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed reading her bible. What brought her most joy though was spending time with her children and grandchildren. They meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brother Kenneth "Casey" Nichols.
Survivors include her two daughters, Misti and husband Dennis Charles, Brooke Henzl and Will Schwark of Sidney, NE, son, Shad Henzl of Denver, CO, sister Ruth Talbott, grandchildren Dylan and Kyler Charles, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, and good friend Katie Hebert of Prineville, OR.
