Belen N. Ayala, age 97, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and will be greatly missed. Belen is preceded in death by her parents; Lucio Hernandez and Irinena Navarrete, her husband; Aurelio Ayala, her sons; Martin Aurelio Ayala, Jorge Antonio Ayala, and her daughter Luz Elena Salcedo. She is survived by her children: Maria Alicia Hernandez, Maria Belen Ayala, and Sandra Luz Vega. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren,51 great-great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-great-grandchildren. Not to mention the many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.
Pallbearers include Fernando Ayala, Michael Ayala, Jorge Flores, Miguel Angel Hernandez, Julio Hernandez, Emanuel Salcedo, Eddy Salcedo, and Lorenzo Vega.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, July 31, 2023, with a Holy Rosary to commence at 6:30 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes-West. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, August 01, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 5750 Doniphan Dr, El Paso, TX 79932. A Graveside Service will follow at 11:45 am at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery, 4900 McNutt Rd, Santa Teresa, NM 88008.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to the Good Samaritan Foundation who provided comforting and excellent services to Mrs. Ayala for over five years:
