Belinda Jane Delossantos, a beloved mother, grandmother, and pillar of strength, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on September 25, 2023, at the age of 71. She was born on September 21, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Horacio Ortiz and Maria (Ortiz) Griffin. Belinda dedicated her life to her family and her work. She raised three children, Horacio (Alisha) Delossantos, Debbie (Ruben) Guevara, and Denise Delossantos, with unwavering love and devotion. For nearly two decades, she poured her heart into her job at Jean's Restaurant & Supplies, leaving a mark of dedication and hard work that will long be remembered.
One of Belinda's greatest joys in life was supporting her grandchildren at their sports events. She cheered them on with pride and love, inspiring them to pursue their dreams with passion. Her faith was another cornerstone of her life, providing her with the strength and solace to face life's challenges with grace.
Belinda was preceded in death by her father, Horacio, her brother, Richard Ortiz, and her sister, Diane Winstead. She is survived by her loving mother Maria Griffin, sister Marina Brown, her adoring children and ten cherished grandchildren: Jeremy, Isabelle, Darren, Emily, Tara, Brittany, Ruben Ryan, Kalem, Gavin, and Leah. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Alexxa, Aiden, and Aracelli.
Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Belinda's life on Saturday October 7, 2023, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Winsteads’ Funeral Home in Portland, TX. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. Belinda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
