Glennville
Belinda Dukes, age 49, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her residence. She was a Miami native but had lived in Glennville most of her life. She retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections. Belinda was a member of Glennville First United Pentecostal Church where she volunteered with the Food Bank. She will be remembered for her very giving spirit and outgoing personality as she never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Roy and Carol Walker; mother, Linda Smith, and her husband, Ricky Dukes.
She is survived by her daughter, Harley (Lawrence) Bradley of Glennville; step-children, Vicky Bruce, and Ricky Dukes, Jr. both of Glennville; siblings, Roy Walker, Jr of Glennville, Shawn Melendez of Glennville, Ruben (Crissy) Melendez of Atlanta, Debbie (John) North of Claxton, and Melissa (Lamar) Cook of Hinesville; grandchildren, Jagger Bruce and London Bunton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm with funeral services to follow at 12:00pm at First United Pentecostal Church with the Reverend James Holland officiating. Interment will be at Glennville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Roy Walker, Jr., Shawn Melendez, Ruben Melendez, Douglas "Man" Walker, Ryan Dasher, Allen DeLoach.
Glennville Funeral Home is serving the family of Ms.Belinda Dukes.
