I played basketball at Truman State for Coach Pitney's first team in 1971-72. He was a major influence in my life. We learned so much from Coach with regard to character, integrity, and hard work. He was a huge role model as a family man and as a Christian. My condolences to Mrs. Pitney. MIke Church

We are so saddened to learn of Ben´s death! Even though we had not had direct contact for many years, we thought of the whole Pitney family. While in Hannibal it was wonderful having them as neighbors, attending church with them, and definitely teaching and traveling basketball trips. Please know that all of you in our thoughts and prayers!
