Ben Skimmiehorn, 63, of Hope Mills, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024.
Born in Cumberland County, he is the son of the late Harlon Joe Skimmiehorn, Sr. and Sieglinde Herzog Skimmiehorn. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Skimmiehorn; Angela Skimmiehorn; nieces, Megan Daves and Gretchen Smith.
He is survived by his brothers, Joe Skimmiehorn and wife Donna and Steve Skimmiehorn; sister, Linda Wilkinson and husband Bobby; son, Dale Cooper; grandchildren, Xavier Cooper and Raiden Cooper; and several nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews.
As a Mechanic in the auto repair industry, he loved fixing anything with a motor. He also had a passion for vegetable gardening and cooking. Ben will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Friday, August 16, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm, at Pinecrest, and you are invited to join the family in celebration of his life.
