Ben Wilson Obituary
Ben was a 1960 graduate of Vernon Township High School and had served in the Indiana National Guard. He was a retired union insulator for the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 18 and had worked as a warehouse parts runner for 20 years at Western Electric. He was a member of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers.
Ben was a tinkerer, and he loved feeding dogs a treat or two as they and their owners walked by, but he is best known for riding his three-wheel bike all over town.
Ben is survived by his wife Connie (Borgman) (Hershman) Wilson, whom he married on August 27, 2006; daughter Andrea (Matt) Headlee of Fortville, son Jeff (Jamie) Wilson of Pendleton; stepson Richard (Kelly) Hershman of Fortville, stepdaughters Katrice (Scott) Mills of Anderson and Audra (Rick) McFarland of Fortville; grandchildren Megan (Jonathan) Headlee, Marissa (Luke) Smith, Kenny Kitchens, Lea Kitchens, Cameron Mills, Dalton (fiancé Christina) Mills, Christina (Kevin) Teverbaugh, Richie (fiancé Kaynah) Hershman, Lincoln McFarland, and Shiloh (fiancé Max) McFarland; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Sherry Reger; sisters in-law Brenda Wilson and Kathy Wilson.
In addition to his parents, Ben was preceded in death by his first wife Joyce (Jeffers) Wilson, infant son Benton E. Wilson, sister Judy Wilson, brothers Jim, Gene, Jon, Bill and Mick Wilson.
Funeral services for Ben will be held on Friday January 2, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat St., Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.
