Benace Luhrel Leggett Jr. passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 in his home.
Luhrel was born March 6, 1961 in Lampasas, Texas. He grew up Houston, but spent much of his childhood and adulthood in Lometa, Texas on the beloved family ranch. He never met a stranger, and found joy in doing for others.
He was preceded in death by his mother Sammie Ellen Porter-Leggett.
Luhrel leaves behind two sons, Luke Luhrel Leggett and daughter in-law April, and Wesley Samuel Leggett and daughter in-law Randa both of Robinson, his father Ben Leggett and sister Lynn Kirchner of Tomball, TX. Grandchildren Ainsley Leggett of Lorena and Mason Leggett of Robinson and great-grandchild Hazel Lea Norden of Lorena, nephews Eric and William Kirchner, and step-sons Jimmy, Bobby, and Gilbert, along with many cousins and friends.
He was employed at numerous places throughout his life as an automotive parts dealer with his last position being at Bird Kultgen Ford. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting, fishing, disc golf, and an avid collector of the best of anything from junk shops. He left a lasting impression on all those whose paths crossed his and will be deeply missed.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life immediately following the services at 816 N Old Robinson Road, Robinson, TX. 76706.
