Benedict L. Azzaro, Jr., a devoted family man and respected Construction Foreman, passed away on July 21, 2025, in Huntington, NY, at the age of 93. Born on June 10, 1932, in Brooklyn, NY, he lived a life marked by dedication to his craft and unwavering love for his family.
Benedict proudly served in the military, a testament to his commitment to his country and community. As a Construction Foreman, he was known for his strong work ethic and leadership on construction sites, where he guided projects with both expertise and integrity.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Patricia Bory and her husband Richard, precious grandchildren Danielle (Jamie) Adelglass, and Richard. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Cara, Philip, and Frankie, who brought him immense joy. He was a devoted father-in-law to his cherished daughter-in-law Katrina Lynn Azzaro. Siblings Rose Verderame and her husband Anthony, Louise Kurutz and her husband Joe, and sister-in-law Louise Rostin further enrich his legacy, ensuring his spirit lives on within the hearts of those who loved him. Benedict was predeceased by his devoted wife Carmela Azzaro, who shared his life for many years, and their son Benedict T. Azzaro, III. He is also predeceased by his parents, Benedict and Ann Azzaro, who laid the foundation for his values and character.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on July 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. A chapel service will be held at Saint Charles Cemetery, in East Farmingdale, NY, on July 28, 2025, starting at 1:30 PM.
Benedict L. Azzaro, Jr. will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a man of great character. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
