Julia Hampl, a cherished matriarch and beloved member of her community, was born on February 9, 1927, in Manhattan, New York. With a heart full of kindness and a spirit that radiated warmth, Julia touched the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her. She was known for her caring nature, her love of the outdoors, and an undeniable passion for soaking up the sun, which brought her immense joy.
Julia dedicated herself to raising a remarkable family and creating a nurturing home. She had a particular affinity for crocheting, a craft that allowed her to create beautiful gifts for her loved ones while sharing her creativity and patience. Throughout her life, Julia found great delight in her many dogs, with Sparky holding a special place in her heart as her favorite companion.
Julia Hampl peacefully passed away on October 31, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Denise and her husband Frank Sciangula; her daughter Donna and her husband Anthony Catapano; her son, Eugene and his wife Donna Hampl; her son Anthony Wadsworth and his wife Debbie; along with 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Hampl, her sons, Richard Wadsworth and Bobby Wadsworth, as well as her 2 brothers and 2 sisters who she loved deeply.
Her life was a testament to the values of kindness, love, and familial bonds, and her memory will forever remain a guiding light for those she left behind. Julia Hampl's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who were privileged to share in her life.
