Benita Mae Price, 93, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Linn Manor. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, with a memorial service beginning at 2 p.m.
Benita was born on February 14, 1932, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of William and Daisy Mae (Ham) Holdren. She was a graduate of Monticello High School. On October 25, 1951, Benita was united in marriage to William Price. To this union, eight children were born. They later divorced. Benita worked as a home health nurse. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. Benita loved crossword puzzles, exercising at Bender Pool, and arts and crafts. She especially loved her children and grandchildren, but above all, she loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Benita is survived and lovingly remembered by her children, Ruth (Lloyd) Robinson, Pam Rose, Sue (Kevin) Marvin, Dennis Price, Mary Price, and Dale (Paula) Price; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, William James Price; daughter, Teresa Osburn; son, David Ray Price; and son-in-law, Steve Rose.
