Benjamin Joaquin Angeles, Tito Ben, Lolo; a beloved husband, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and even great-grandfather, was born on November 22, 1933, in Quezon City, Philippines, to the late Ildefonso and Felisa Angeles. He was the second eldest brother of a big family of nine children. On January 28, 1967, he married Eulinia "Ne" Bulanadi, and his family grew even larger. And In 1967 and 1969, their family grew a little bit more with the birth of Abigail and Bernadette.
In an effort to provide for his family, Benjamin and Eulinia immigrated to the United States in 1973. The American Dream, starting from the ground up he built a lifelong career working as an Accountant for the city of San Francisco Housing Authority. In just five years, they purchased a house in Daly City which still serves as their home to this day. And during all this they managed to bring their daughters and several family members over to the United States.
Benjamin built his life on hard work, commitment, and providing for his family. He was a devout catholic, attended church every Sunday keeping a strong prayer life. He was naturally musical, always singing, whistling, or keeping rhythm without trying. He was an avid member of a bowling league, fanatic and enjoyer of golf, and in his spare time played bingo. He liked the simple things in life: his routines, his lotto tickets, his coffee, his TV, except his chocolate, he loved his chocolate. He had a good sense of humor that would make you laugh, and for the times that you didn't, he would make sure to laugh for you always getting the last laugh. He was very sociable, if there was a room full of people he probably talked to every person, but that was his way of making sure no one felt alone.
Benjamin passed away at 91-years-old on November 6, 2025, but much like his favorite Frank Sinatra karaoke song he did it his way. Benjamin is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Eulinia "Ne"; daughters, Abigail and Bernadette; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Christopher, Dezire, Ethan, and Isabelle; his granddaughters in-law, Allyson, Aliyah; and his great-grandchildren, Haley, Hayden, and Lucas.
