Ben was my brother´s best friend in elementary school. When I was being that annoying little sister who wanted to hang out with my older brother´s cool friends, Ben was always the one to include me. He could make any room fill with laughter. Ben was so distinctly himself from such a young age.
To this day, my family quotes his "Get `er done!" about chores.
Thank you for such warm childhood memories.
Thank you for the light & joy you brought everyone you met.
Get some good rest Ben.

My first memory of Ben was within my first day or so in the fifth grade at All Saints. I was new and so was my sister, Sophie. We were in different classes and I was terrified! At recess, she told me she had made a new friend. She introduced me to Ben, and he was just as nice as she described him to be. I'll always remember him as being helpful, silly, funny, kind, warm-hearted and dedicated. I am so devastated to hear about his loss and will always remember him as a truly kind and sunny soul.

I was friends with Ben in high school, and the things I remember most about him are his enthusiasm, cheerfulness, and generosity. He was one of the first people I became friends with as a freshman, and that's a hard thing to do for someone so shy like me. I'm thankful for his friendship. One time in particular I remember seeing him helping an older lady carry heavy bags, and as they were walking up the stairs he was chatting with her and making her laugh. At the time it stood out to me because he offered to help when he didn't have to, and did it thinking that no one else saw. That image has stayed with me over the years, and comes back to me when I reflect on what it means to be a cheerful & humble servant. There are so many times I remember when he said something encouraging or supportive to me, and I wasn't even one of his closest friends. I'm blessed to have known him, and my heart breaks to think of the suffering he went through. By God's grace we'll meet again in the next life.

Ben was a favorite at All Saints. Sweetest personality and happiest person. He also talked a lot.

Ben was my very first friend that I made at All Saints in 5th grade - we were sat next to eachother in Mrs. O´s class, and I remember being so nervous and shy. I took a seat next to Ben and he immediately smiled so big and introduced himself. From that moment on, I wasn´t nervous anymore. Ben always had a joyful, fun, optimistic attitude - going all the way back to my first memories of him at 11 years old.
