Benjamin E. "Ben" Brownell, aged 66, passed away on August 26, 2025, in Clearwater, Florida. Born on June 8, 1959, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, Ben was a respected figure in the construction industry, specializing in stucco work throughout the Tampa Bay area. His dedication to craftsmanship was evident in every project he undertook, and he took immense pride in his contributions to the community's infrastructure. Ben's passions extended beyond his professional life. He cherished moments spent at the beach, embracing the serenity and beauty of the ocean. His love for his family was profound, and he dedicated much of his time to creating lasting memories with them. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Brownell; son, Mathew Brownell; significant other, Dottie Godena; sister, Judith Burns; brothers, Charles "Fred" Howard (Heather Rosenburg) and Patrick Brownell. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth A. Howard and Richard E. Brownell, and his brother, James Brownell. Visitation is Thursday, September 4th, from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The inurnment will privately take place at Woodlawn Memory Gardens. Ben's legacy of dedication, both in his professional and personal life, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His family and friends will continue to honor his memory by embracing the values he exemplified.
