Ben was born in Sunnyside, Washington, on August 23, 1963, to Ben and Claudia Fay (Forey). He passed away at his home, on January 7, 2023, at the age 59, due to esophageal cancer.
Ben grew up in Yakima. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1981. He then graduated from YVCC with an associate degree, as an IT web technologist in 2004.
He began working at a young age at Wendy's, he then moved to Boise Cascade. He worked for ITS and then Prime Windows for many years, until he had to leave because of his health.
Ben loves spending time with family and friends. He liked having barbecues and parties, especially for Halloween. He loved going to car shows with his Impala and going fishing with his dad, brother, and Adam. If a good rock concert was near us, we would be going to that also. He also enjoyed our trips to Las Vegas with Gary, Vicky, and "Vegas Debbie" as he liked to call her.
Ben was the greatest life partner/husband I could've ever asked for. He was a wonderful father, son, and brother. He is survived by his life partner, Kim Smith, his father, Benjamin Fay Sr., brother, Steven (Kristen) Faye, his children, Kalle and Dillon Fay, Patrick and Adam Smith, and his niece, Allison Fay. He is also survived by his extended family, Ted and Judi Brulotte, Mindy, Tanner, Tori, Taylor Trujillo. His family would like to thank everyone for their support and prayers they are greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N. 2nd Street, Yakima, WA 98901).
