Benjamin Carlton Floyd

Benjamin Carlton Floyd (Big Daddy) of Berrydale, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 24,2025, at the age of 81.
Ben worked for the State of Florida DOT as a supervisor for 39 1/2 years. Ben lived life to the fullest he loved the outdoors and staying active. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Ben was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His life was defined by love, compassion, and a deep devotion to his family, friends and faith. He had an extraordinary ability to bring joy to those around him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of warmth, humor, and generosity will live on in the heart of those he loved.
Ben is proceeded in death by his parents, Ben and Novelle Floyd, and Baby Brother Floyd.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Floyd of 27 years; two daughters, Melvina (Danny) Booth of Atmore, Kerry Hawkins of Brewton, Alabama; one son, Saint Luke Floyd of Berrydale, Florida, grandchildren, Daniel Davis, Colton Kelly, Christian Grimes, McKenzie Hawkins; one aunt, Mildred; special friend, Willie Trawick; and many cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 8, 2025, at Pine Grove Baptist Church 7280 Pine Grove Road Jay, Florida 32565, with visitation from 1:00-2:00pm and service at 2:00pm, officiated by Pastor Willie Oglsebe and Robert Bradley. Interment to immediately follow at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be family and friends.
