Margaret "Monk" Steadham Kimmons
Born: April 6, 1938, in McDavid, Florida Passed Away: Saturday, July 5, 2025, at her home in Jay, Florida surrounded by family and friends.
She attended McDavid School in McDavid, Florida and worked hard as a homemaker.
She was born and raised in McDavid and resided in Jay for the past several years with her son- in-law Doug Walker and late daughter Patricia Walker.
Margaret is preceded in death by her late parents, Wallace Steadham and Della McCawley of McDavid; husband, Arrie "Runt" Kimmons; two daughters, Barbara Ann Cartwright Flowers, and Patricia Ann Kimmons Walker, both of Jay; three brothers, Ben, Bob, and Bo Steadham, of McDavid; and a sister, Mattie Mae Steadham Driver, also of McDavid.
She is survived by three children, Alfred "Bubba" Arrie Kimmons, Donna "Little Bit" Marie Thomas (Keith Thomas), both of Jay, and Margaret "Punkin" Melinda Nall, of Century; eight grandchildren, Stephen, Toshia, Keshia, Dakota, Shelby, Jordan, Lea and Noah; ten great-great grandchildren, Jasper, Timmy, Kendal, Walker, Nala, Amelia, Luna, Letty, Malia and Dominic; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday July 13, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home Jay Corner Stone Chapel, 4003 Highway 4 Jay, FL 32565, with visitation from 10:00-11:00am and service 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at B.J. Family Cemetery.
Special appreciation to pallbearers, Dakota Walker, Jordan Kimmons, Jeff Steadham, Danny Steadham, David Steadham, Bobby Chavers, Lee Marvin Jernigan and Noah Kimmons.
Special thanks to Genia Bashore, Michelle Gust, Jodi Peacock and all family and friends that visited or called.
