Mr. Benjamin Franklin Guy Jr. Tampa, FL, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist M.B. Church of Highland Pines, 4711 E. 21st Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605, with Rev. Cleveland Lane, officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Benjamin Franklin Guy Jr. was born in Tallahassee, FL on July 17, 1964. Benjamin was a native of Tallahassee, Florida, and a resident of Tampa for 50 years. He attended Hillsborough High School, where he graduated and worked for several companies in Hillsborough County. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Guy Sr. and Annie Mae Davis; two sisters, Valerie Guy and Tressa Guy; brother, Leroy Chestnut Jr.; uncles, Josh Davis, Theodore Davis, and Thomas Davis; and cousin, Gregory Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories with: his children, Jada Mo'nae Guy (Greg), Jadaken Mon'que, and Leroy Guy (Shaneicsha); grandchildren, Josiah Guy, Ari Guy, Jadaken Guy Jr., Kalanii Guy, Kamarii Guy-Pierre, and Rodney Pierre; sisters, Tenderly "Ann" Chestnut and Leslie Bunch; aunt, Lula; uncle, Nelson; nieces, Ashley, Darious, Trevincea, Vintreca, Laresha, Antoniya, Lexi, and Desmond; nephews, Jawon, Antonio, Robert, Frederick, Sincerely-Leroy, and Wisdom; great nieces and nephews, Jaziya, Aubrey, Aniya, Charm Heavenly, Trinity, Melody, Cednyi, Callie Cassie Roderick, Jawon Jr., Jaquaz, Pharrell, Rome, Romir, Yazir, Jaire Robert Jr., and Ma'leysia; and a host of cousins from Tampa and Tallahassee, Florida.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
