Benjamin Narvaez Cardona
May 5, 1947- February, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Benjamin Narvaez, Cardona, who fell asleep peacefully at the age of 77on February 2, 2025. Born in Guanajuato, Mexico in the small town of Santa Rita, on May 5, 1947. Benjamin was the second oldest of 11 siblings (Serafin, Maria de Jesus, Rogelio, Maria, Angel, Rita, Cristina, Margarito, Elisa and Juan. From a very young age, he worked along with his father and his oldest brother on the family fields to help provide for his family. His work ethic, resilience and dedication to his loved ones shaped the man he became. At the age of 18, he met the love of his life, Emelia Narvaez, and married her. Together, they built a life centered around family and love. They both raised a wonderful family of 5 ( Luz Maria, Edith, Benjamin, Angel and Luis). He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and a better future for them. In the late 1960's, he made the decision to come to the United States and chase the American dream. Later, in the mid 70's, he brought his wife and two daughters to join him and created opportunities for generations to come. Later, after retirement, he returned to Mexico and went back to work on the fields like he did when he was very young. He never stopped working, until he just couldn't any longer. While in Mexico he spent all his time doing the things he loved which were farming and his beloved siblings. Benjamin's legacy lives on in his 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of his life. He was a very devoted family man, always finding joy in their company and offering them love and guidance. When he wasn't surrounded by his family he would be found outdoors, tending to his garden or fields, activities that brought him great fulfillment. His warm spirit, work ethic and unwavering love for all his family will never be forgotten. He touched the lives of so many and his memory will live on in the hearts of those that knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at Calvario Funeral Home on Wednesday February 5, 2025 for the viewing from 3:00-7:00 p.m. The service will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth, TX.
