Benjamin Negrón Perez

Benjamin Negron, lovingly known as "Piñe" to close family, was born on February 28, 1934, in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, to Alejo and Fermina Negron. At the age of 91, he was called to his eternal home on January 14, 2026, in Jackson, Michigan.

Benjamin was a man of strong and unwavering faith in God. He came to the United States at a young age to pursue his own path and spent much of his life traveling throughout the country. In 1973, he gave his life to Christ. That same year, he met Noemi Garcia in Jackson, Michigan, whom he later married, and together they raised six children.

He is survived by his children: Jamie Negron, Yvonne Rivera, Benjamin Daniel Negron, David Negron, Rebecca Negron, and Robert Negron; his grandchildren: Jacklynn Nguyen, Glorimar Negron, Steven Rivera Negron, David Paul Negron, Julian Macintosh, Emma Negron, Cristian Samuel, and Daniel Alejandro Negron; and his great-grandchildren: Ava Ann Marie Marshall, Evelyn Mei Nguyen, and Renesmae Rivera Negron.

Benjamin was known for his sense of humor, love of food, and his unique way with words-often creating his own expressions that brought laughter to those around him. He deeply loved Puerto Rico, affectionately calling it "his island." Largely self-educated in his faith, he remained curious and engaged throughout his life. Despite his age, he embraced technology and enjoyed staying connected by sending messages to his loved ones.

Benjamin will be remembered for his faith, wisdom, humor, and deep love for his family.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 2-4PM with a service to be held at 4PM. Private burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park on a later date.
