With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin Rubalcaba, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and man of God, who entered eternal rest on May 5, 2025, at the age of 79.
Benjamin was born on November 28, 1945, in Tototlán, Jalisco, Mexico. As a young man, he proudly served in the Mexican Navy, where his deep love for the ocean began. That connection to the sea remained a lifelong source of peace and inspiration for him.
A devoted husband to his wife Isabel for 56 years, Benjamin built a life centered around faith, family, and love. Together, they raised three children-Julia, Ramiro, and Elizabeth-passing on to them the values of hard work, kindness, and strong faith. He was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren, each of whom he adored and guided with quiet strength and affection.
Benjamin was a man of faith and integrity who held a deep devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe. He instilled that same faith and work ethic in his family, leading by example through hard work, humility, and trust in God. His friendly and magnetic personality created a welcoming atmosphere for all who were blessed to be around him.
He loved to travel, especially on road trips with his family and by cruise ship, finding joy in discovering new places and spending time near the ocean he loved so deeply. His adventurous spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew him.
Benjamin's memory will live on in the stories we share, the values he passed down, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, and quiet strength that will never be forgotten.
He will be missed dearly and remembered always. May he rest in peace.
