Benjamin Sane Sr. Obituary
Benjamin Lee Sane, Sr., age 77, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.
A native of Rutherford County, Benny was the son of the late Walter Christopher Sane and the late Mary Elizabeth Sane. Benny was best known for his dedication to being a farmer for many years and produced a variety of crops to feed the county. Benny was a member at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and he was a US E5 Sargent Army Veteran. He was well known for building racecars and met some of his best friends whom became family throughout the years. Benny was loved and cherished by close family friends, Tiffany Luckadoo and Logan Luckadoo. Benny loved and cherished his dog Rosie. In addition to his parents, Benny was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Sane, and one brother, Chris Sane.
Benny is survived by one son, Benjamin Lee Sane Jr., and five grandchildren, Emily Sane, Benjamin Sane III, Zachary Sane, Dylan Shell, and Amber Appleby, and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at McMahan's Funeral Home. There will be a private graveside service in honor of Benny with Military Honors provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. McMahan's Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
