Benjamin J. Sturgell

Memorial Services for Mr. Benjamin J. Sturgell, 51, who entered into rest February 2, 2026, will be conducted Tuesday morning, February 10th, at 10:30 a.m. at Stevens Creek Church with Dr. Marty Baker officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Ben was born January 2, 1975, to Steven Sturgell and the late Shirley Ann Sturgell. He was raised in Inverness, FL and has made Nashville, TN his home for the past 20 years. Ben was an accomplished musician, producer, and songwriter, having written hundreds of songs and produced numerous albums throughout his career. He was well known, particularly in the Indie music world, and ran his studio on Music Row in Nashville for many years. Ben will be fondly remembered for his servant's heart, caring personality, and his charming charisma. He loved life and despite his ALS diagnosis, Ben remained positive and lived a life of gratitude, finding good in all things. With the help of a close friend, Ben founded Kaleidoscope, a non-profit with the purpose of bringing awareness and advocacy to the ALS disease. Above all, Ben praised God, loved being a dad and adored his son, Finley.

In addition to his mother, Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maxine Young, who he loving called "GG". Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his son, Finley Sturgell; his father, Steven Sturgell; and his brother, Todd Sturgell (April).
