Benjamin Franklin Suddeth, "Buzz", 93, of Mountain Home passed away May 30, 2025, in Mountain Home. He was born September 7, 1931, in Clarendon, Arkansas to Benjamin Franklin Suddeth, Sr. and Fannie Louise Cox. Buzz was a United States Air Force Veteran and loved the outdoors and traveling. He was a bird watcher, avid reader and a major history buff (especially the Civil War). Buzz also volunteered at the Baxter County Library and served as a teacher several years. He was house parent for the Presbyterian Children's Home in Itasca, Texas. Buzz was a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas for 15 years and was a Christian man known by many whose lives he touched. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Jean Suddeth; a sister, Sue LaHaie; grandmother, Argie Browning and an aunt, Edna Browning.
Benjamin is survived by two sons, Paul (Dara) and Mark Suddeth; niece and caregiver, Casey (Steve) Starkey; two grandsons, P.J. and Will Suddeth; three great grandsons, Michael, Jacob and Brewer; great granddaughter, Isabella; a stepsister, Edwyne Rogerson; nine nieces, Dana (Floyd) Runyon, Tammy (Rich) Morgan, Tina (Jerry) Overton, Debbie (Harold) Tucker, Joan (Phil) Wren, Diane Turner, Cathy Ching, Jeanette (Tom) Wright and Teresa LaHaie; seven nephews, Randal (Sorya) Taylor, Larry (Julie) Kerr, H.B. (Charlie), Tim, Roy (Candy) and David (Sandy) Moran and Joseph King.
A graveside burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Pinecrest Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Conner Family Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
