Benjamin Wilder Obituary
Benjamin Arlen Wilder, 49, of Albert Lea, MN passed away in the comfort of his home on Saturday, March 28th 2026. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4th 2026 at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home from 10-12. Please join us for lunch at noon.
Born October 18th, 1976 in Albert Lea to Charles and Karen Wilder, Benjamin attended the area schools, graduating in 1995, and attended Riverland. After relocating to the cities, Benny found pride in his taxi and limo service. Ben the Driver spent years helping people find their way. Benny enjoyed and collected survival gear, finding joy in the art of self-reliance. Benny was happiest when surrounded by animals and wanted nothing more than to be with his dogs.
He is survived by his parents Charles and Karen Wilder; sister Jill Murphy; brother-in-law Pat; nephew Charlie; stepdaughter Alexis Kyriss and her daughter Noelle; his best friend Becky Dombrovski; many aunts, cousins, and his dog Mousse.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Clement and Mary Wilder and Warren and Mary Hagen; nephew Patrick Joseph Murphy Jr.; aunts, uncles, friends, and his beloved dogs.
