Benjamin William Wolf, age 46 was born in Lansing, Michigan on October 5, 1979. He passed away in Forest Lake, Minnesota on October 25 , 2025 after a very difficult battle with esophageal cancer.
A big-hearted guy full of wit and humor, creativity, and kindness, Ben will be terribly missed by the many whose lives he touched.
Survivors include parents, Roger and Debra Wolf; devoted wife and caregiver Emily Mae (Shaw) Wolf; daughter, Abigail M. Wolf (husband Shyaam Cotton); son, Lucas B. Wolf (wife Eun Joo "Ej" Wolf); two beautiful grandchildren, Amirah and Shaun Cotton; sisters, Emily Rose Wolf (husband Bradley James "Bj" Williams); Wendy J Wolf (husband Shawn Hill); nieces, Amelia and Zella Hill; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and former spouse, Jessi Claire (Lidberg) Wolf.
Ben had a vast array of interests, including knife collecting, reading, writing, gaming, cooking (making sauces and dips from scratch) making coffee drinks, and exploring in Rocky Mountain National Park near where he and wife Emily resided for work from 2022-2024. Ben loved watching history programs, food history shows, and documentaries of all kinds. He loved using essential oils, listening to music, and he was actively learning Spanish and Italian for fun. He was constantly in numerous ongoing dialogues with friends, both in person and online- about an endless variety of subjects. Humor and philosophy ranked among the most common discussion elements. He could be found sending recorded voice clips to his good friend Curt Moe, or bantering back and forth with Lee Daversa on the regular. Ben loved taking videos and photos, and sharing images, memes and jokes online…. Always employing his impeccable dry wit to the best of his ability.
Ben received loving mentoring and care from his good friend Tom Rose over the years. Ben's walk with the Lord was greatly affected by the love of Tom, Bishop Earl, Judy Sky, Dave Carlson, Bart Thompson, Rich Scherber, and many others who loved him so well on his journey.
Ben had the loudest, most incredible laughter- a sound that will echo on in the hearts of his loved ones forever. Never will there be another one, like this incredible man of depth.
Special thanks to Jim and Kristi Shaw and Alicia Burton for their selfless assistance and kindness.
