Benny is preceded in death by his parents, May and Ben Fortenberry; his wife Bernice Fortenberry; daughter Deborah Darlene Fortenberry; son Danny Fortenberry; sisters Pearl Sanders, Jo Slagley, Anita Slagley, and Aline Fortenberry; and brother Jimmy Fortenberry.
He is survived by daughters Jackie Reed Lindsey (Robert), Becky Joy (Kelly), and Michele Andry (Russell); son Alan Fortenberry; brother Shelby Fortenberry; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren, with two great-great-grandchildren on the way.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 29 th, with a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at Freedom Fellowship Church. 1201 N Main St Pearland, TX 77581. Burial to follow at Southpark in Pearland, TX.
Pallbearers serving are Jerry Reed, Terry Reed, Alan "Scooter" Fortenberry, Shelby Fortenberry, Bobby Fortenberry and Brandon Andry.
