Berdell Hagen Obituary

Published by Macy Allnutt Funeral Service-Eaton Chapel on May 10, 2011.
It was in Grand Forks, North Dakota where Olaf and Caroline Hagen welcomed Berdell “ Buck” Hagen to their family of eight. The Family would eventually grow to ten. His siblings are: Dale, Lloyd, David, Margaret, Dorothy, Mary Lou, Carol Jean, Linda, and Darlene. His family meant the world to him. After graduation from East Grand Forks High School he went into farming. A move from farming was a move to Colorado and was the start of his 31 years with Eastman Kodak. Berdell married Sandra Jensen at King of Glory Lutheran Church November 11. 1981 and remained active members in the church. Together they enjoyed landscaping their yard, gardening, bike riding, roller blading, hiking, camping skiing in the mountains, vacations and so much more. Buck was an avid hunter, loved and collected antique gas engines. He generously volunteered his time and talents to Centennial Elementary School, fundraisers for KOG, MMC, and the annual Crop Walk. He was ready to help any one when and where he was needed. He is survived by his wife Sandy, nine brothers and sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law: Steve Jensen and Stan & Lynda Jensen. He is preceded in death by Olaf and Caroline (parents), and Earl and Elaine Jensen (parents-in-law). Buck lost his battle with the disease depression on May10, 2011. The love he had for us and the love we had for him will live on in our hearts forever. He is at peace and resting in the heart of God. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the King of Glory Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to King of Glory Lutheran Church in Loveland or the non-profit of your choice.
