Bernadetta (Betty) DiBlasi, (nee Santora), 98, of Paramus, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence (Larry) DiBlasi. Devoted mother of Lawrence DiBlasi, Jr., Betty Ann DiBlasi, and Theresa Ann DeVecchi and her husband John. Cherished grandmother of John DeVecchi, Jr., Amy Matera and her husband Edward, and great-grandmother of Genevieve.
Born in Garfield to Teresa and Joseph, Betty shared a happy childhood with her sisters May, Louise, Rose and Ann. After high school, Betty worked in NYC for Con Edison. Married for 61 years, Betty met Larry on December 16, 1948 at the home of her sister May and they were married sixteen months later on April 16, 1950. They moved to Paramus in 1960 into a home built by Larry, where they raised their family. Betty was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation Church in Paramus. A dedicated mother, Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Thursday March 27, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church 234 N. Farview Avenue Paramus. Interment to follow at the Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ.
As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
