Legacy
Bernadette was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She devoted her life to loving and caring for her family; especially showering them with food and baked goods. "Gram" as she was known to family and friends, made sure everyone was welcome around her table, particularly for Sunday dinner. If you were lucky enough to have experienced her apple cake or rice pudding you know what they mean when they say, "made with love".
Family
Bernadette will be missed by all who know and loved her. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Robert J. Dougherty; devoted mother of Bernadette Beckett (Dennis), Margaretta Mattia (Anthony), Robert Dougherty, Patrick Dougherty, and the late William Dougherty. Adored grandmother of Denise, Drew, Holly, Justine, Erin, Robert III, Danielle, Amy, Daniel Montana, and great grandmother of Benjamin, Brielle, Julianna, Fallon, and Kenny.
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to share their farewells on Friday, August 29th from 9:30AM to 11:45AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish at St. Mary's Church, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ 08094. Funeral Mass at 12:00PM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Williamstown, New Jersey.

So sorry that I missed you're Mom's celebration of life. My family is sad that we didn't get to express our sympathy to all of you. I just recently found out of her passing. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. As a young teen I spent a lot of time with your family. Your Mom & Dad were truly amazing people. She will truly be missed. My dearest Bern , so sorry to hear of berns passing I found this out through my neice Jeanne Johnson if not I would not have known . I call Bern few times just to see how she is doing. I was away to my sons in West Virginia . She will truly be missed . Give my love to her family . Bern was one of a kind and truly loved Marie and skip
