Bernadette Liskiewicz

Bernadette (Stys) Liskiewicz, 95, of Wallington passed away on February 25, 2026. Born in Passaic, she was raised in Garfield and has lived in Wallington since 1955. She worked as a Secretary and Administrative Assistant for Pfizer, Inc., in Clifton for 36 years before retiring in 1993. A parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington, Bernadette was a member of their choir for many years. She was an avid bowler who loved to dance and listen to Polka music.

Bernadette is predeceased by her husband Frederick who passed away in 1984, her parents, Gregory and Mary Stys, and her brother, Stephen Stys and his wife Delores. Bernadette is survived by her nieces and nephew, Stephanie Eick and her late husband Fred, Stephen Stys and his wife Sue, and Fran Wojcik and her husband Frank, and great-nieces and nephew, Ryan, Jamie, Ashley, Megan, Melissa, and Kristin. The family would also like to acknowledge in a special way Jerry Pawluczenko, Pam Turner, Mirka Gupkova, and the Najda family for their love and support of Bernadette throughout the years.

Visiting Sunday 2-6PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Monday 10AM at the funeral home and 11:15AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
