Age 77, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025. Daughter of the late Joe and Ann Vargo; beloved wife of John C. "Jack" Nusida, Jr.; mother of Mike (fiancée Julie Bercaw) Nusida and Brian (Nicole) Nusida; grandmother of Alexis (Joe) Diehl, Sara Nusida, Meghan Nusida, Joey Nusida, and Alice Peck; sister of Sylvia (Barry) Kifus, Joann (the late Joe) Matyus, and the late David Vargo. Also survived by numerus nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family. Bernadette worked for Dr. Rothenburg for 20 years. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
Friends received at William F. Gross Funeral Home, Ltd. 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish St. Susanna Church, 200 Stotler Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 at 10 a.m.
