Bernadine Guinivere (Patton) Ten Fingers was born on October 3, 1951 at home in Little Grass Creek to Vincent James Patton and Rosalyn Alice New Holy. Bernadine made her journey to the Spirit World on December 5, 2025 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Bernadine is survived by her children, Jackson Ten Fingers, Ta'sagye Wakan Moves Camp, Jessie Ten Fingers, and Sage Conroy; grandchildren, Mahpiya Tahin Lone Elk, Rudy Lone Elk, Laura S. Ten Fingers, Jenna Rowland, Shada Hinton, Renato Hinton, and Style Hinton; great grandchildren, Waniyetu Janis and Colten Yellow Horse; sisters, Evelyn Patton, Mildred Young, Mary Little Hawk, Carolyn New Holy, Veronica Jones, Shirley Iron Road, Nancy Marshall, Judy New Holy, Trudy New Holy, and Carol Johnston; brothers, Daniel New Holy, Jr., Johnson Bear Robe, Cecel Bear Robe, Tim Poitras, Allen Morin, Jeff McDonald, and Cliff Summers; aunts, Evelyn New Holy & Lucille Bores A Hole; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and extended family members.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura G. Ten Fingers; mother, Rosalyn Alice New Holy; father, Vincent Patton; sisters, Delores Yellow Bull and Lori Poitras; brother, Emmett Peters; and great grandsons, Destin Lone Elk and Kib Ten Fingers.
Pallbearers will be Jerome Young, John Welch, Dorian New Holy, Darren New Holy, Denato Two Bulls, Paul Nava, Patrick Clark, Jr., Justin Williams, Ronald Cross Dog, Paul Kills In Water, and Rex Crow.

Wake Services: Two night wake service with visitation starting from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the Ten Fingers Residence and all-night wake services starting at 3:30 PM at St. John's Episcopal Church near Oglala, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM each night.
